Our delicious Organic Kamut ® Penne Rigate is made from 100% Kamut ® (khorasan) wheat flour. Kamut is an ancient wheat that is twice as large as regular wheat grain. It is high in fatty acids and protein (30% more then standard wheat. High in dietary fibre, essential minerals and antioxidants. It also has a low GI.
This pasta is sourced from Australian Artisan Pasta makers L’Abruzzese. L’Abruzzese source only the finest organic and sustainably grown Australian ingredients, fostering long-term relationships with premium wheat suppliers and flour mill producers in Australia.
The Organic Kamut Penne is is very light in texture, and tastes similar to oatmeal only with a smooth buttery flavour. Perfect to combine with a simple tomato based pasta sauce or traditional pesto.
