Our Organic Hemp Protein Powder is grown and manufactured in Canada and produced using the cold pressed method. This occurs where the seeds are put through a cold pressed hemp oil machine that separates the oil from the seed, and once complete the cake is then milled to produce the protein powder and a flour.
Hemp protein powder comes directly from the hemp seed and has a very mild nutty flavour. It is very high in protein containing over 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential that make up a complete protein molecule. It is also high in essential fatty acids, chlorophyll, dietary fibre, antioxidants and minerals, hence why it is considered a ‘super’ food.
On top of this is is low in saturated fat, cholesterol, sugar (carbohydrate) and sodium. Benefits are said to include improved heart health, immunity, colon cleansing and decreasing risk of osteoporosis.
