Essential fatty acids are important for the immune system, joints, heart and brain.
Linseed meal is a great source of the Omega 3 essential fatty acids, important for reducing pain and inflammation in the body and supporting joint health and balanced moods. Although the quality of the oil is slightly reduced compared to whole linseeds due to the grinding process. This meal is also high in fibre, which will feed the beneficial bacteria in the gut, leading to better digestion, improved immune function and blood sugar balance.

Linseed meal makes a great sprinkle over breakfast cereals and porridge and also goes well in baking breads and muffins or added to smoothies. Linseed meal can be used as an egg replacement in baking using 2 ½ teaspoons to 3 tablespoons of water. It has a pleasant nutty flavour and is best stored in a refrigerator or cool and dark area.
